Real Player Adjustment

If Real Player seems to play erratically, or not at all, the following steps may be required to resolve the issue:

1. Open Real Player and select  Tools, then Preferences … from the bottom of the list that appears.







2. On the left side of the Preferences window, select Hardware category, then move the lower Video Card Compatibility slider bar to the center position. Click OK, close Real Player and try watching the video again. If this does not solve the problem, proceed to step 3.






3. Select  Tools, then Preferences from the bottom of the list that appears.
4. From the left side, select Playback Settings(General), remove the check box next to Enable TurboPlay. Click OK. Close Real Player and then try watching the video again. If this does not solve the problem, you may need to lower your connection speed settings manually. To do this, please refer to step 5.







5. Once again, select  Tools, then Preferences. Click on Connection and then use the drop-down lists to select a lower connection speed for both the Normal and Maximum speed. If you have a high speed connection, it is recommended to lower the settings to Dual ISN (128 Kbps) for Normal and DSL Cable for Maximun. If you are using a dial-up connection, it is recommended to set Normal to 28.8 Kbps and to set Maximum to 56.6 Kbps. Ensure to click OK to save your changes before closing the window.

   Videos should now play properly.
