Copyright

Copyright rights and responsibilities apply to your use of Brightspace. You have the same education users’ rights teaching in Brightspace that you have in the physical classroom.

There are some additional conditions with using content in Brightspace. For example, faculty cannot take a DVD that they show in the classroom and copy and convert it to a format compatible with Brightspace. These additional conditions are clearly explained on the NSCC Copyright and Brightspace website

The NSCC Copyright Decision Tool

is a resource that helps you determine if your use of a copyright-protected work qualifies as fair dealing or an education exception.
