Managing groups in Wiggio

Editing settings for a group in Wiggio

Note Only group administrators can edit group settings.

  1. Click Group Settings in the group header.
  2. Change the group Name, Password, and Description by clicking change by the appropriate field.
  3. Update how group members receive email in the Group Email section.
  4. Click Select Image to add or update the group image, or click delete group image to remove it.
  5. In the Permissions section, select permissions to enable them for your group's users, or clear permissions to disable them.
  6. Select a Color for your course.
  7. In the Privacy section, select Hide email addresses and Hide phone numbers to prevent email addresses and phone numbers from being visible to other group members.
  8. Click Save.

Updating membership for a group in Wiggio

  1. Click Group Settings in the group header.
  2. In the Members tab, select from the following options:
    • Add Members Invite participants to join your group.
    • Re-invite Resend invitation emails to participants who have not yet responded.
    • Edit Names Update the names of unconfirmed members, then click Save.
    • Make Admin Select any members you want to make admins, then click Save.
    • Demote Admin Select any members with administrative privileges that you want to make regular members, then click Save.
    • Remove Members Select any members you want to remove from the group, then click Save.
    Notes
    • Users do not receive a notification when you remove them from the group.
    • The group creator can never be demoted to a regular group member.

Changing the owner for a group in Wiggio

ImportantAny group ownership changes you make are permanent. If you make another user the group owner, the only way to become the owner again is to have the other user reassign ownership back to you.

  1. In the group you want to change ownership for, click Group Settings.
  2. In the Members tab, hover your mouse over the user you want to make the group owner.
  3. Select Make Owner from the Options drop-down list, then click OK.

Deleting a group in Wiggio

Notes

  • Only group administrators can delete the group.
  • Deleting a group deletes all subgroups associated with the group.
  1. Click Group Settings in the group header.
  2. Click Delete this group, then click Ok.

Updating a subgroup in Wiggio

NoteFor any group with subgroups, the group administrator is also the administrator for the subgroup(s).

  1. Click Group Settings in the group header.
  2. In the Subgroups tab, click edit or delete for the subgroup you want to edit or delete.
